 A passionate team of volunteers—made up primarily of healthcare professionals—is preparing for a 10-day medical mission to Togo, West Africa. Their goal? To bring free, life-saving care to communities with limited or no access to basic health services.

For two impactful weeks, the UMA team will establish and operate a free community clinic, offering:

• Screenings for chronic illnesses such as high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, heart conditions, and blood disorders
• Treatment for common and urgent conditions including wound care, diarrhea, constipation, nausea, vomiting, UTIs, STDs, and more
• Health education sessions to empower residents with basic preventive care knowledge and everyday wellness practices

  At United Mission to Africa, we welcome volunteers from all walks of life who are passionate about saving lives and making a difference. If you're ready to serve and meet the following criteria, we’d love to have you on the team.

1. Are a healthcare professional (licensed or in training—students are welcome!)
2. Have a strong desire to help and are committed to improving lives
3. Hold a valid, unexpired passport
4. Commit to attending all required training sessions prior to the mission
5. Are up to date on all recommended vaccinations
6. Can obtain health and travel insurance for the duration of the mission
7. Are willing and able to work in rural, under-resourced, and constantly changing environment
8. Can cover the program fee and your own travel-related expenses

Join us for our upcoming medical mission to Togo, where together we’ll bring life-changing care, compassion, and healing to communities in need

Nestled in southern Togo, the village of Mamissi lies approximately 17 km (11 miles) from Vogan, the closest city, and 67 km (42 miles) from Lomé, the capital.

Despite its proximity to urban centers, Mamissi remains an underserved and vulnerable community. Since August 2024, Mamissi has been without its only healthcare center, which was relocated to the newly established neighboring village of Assan Kondji. As a result, residents now face even greater challenges accessing essential health services.

Our mission to Mamissi is part of a broader effort to bridge the healthcare gap—bringing medical care, education, and renewed hope to the communities
